About Our Chapter:
Click here to access the Loop archives, Discussion meeting handouts, Summer Camps database, Networking database, and more through our Yahoo! group. This is also where to go to change your email address or mail delivery options.
Need help navigating Yahoo! groups? Contact the Online Representative.
Please adhere to the Loop Guidelines:
- If you are replying to a message include either the original message or at least enough text from the original email to give a context. (You can set this as the default on your email client.)
- Choose descriptive subject lines so that a reader can decide if they are interested in opening the message.
- Create separate messages for distinct topics.
- If your reply introduces a new topic change the subject line.
- When responding to a message, determine if your response will be of interest or benefit to the whole group or to an individual. You can respond directly to the sender at her email address if it seems more appropriate.
- Our Yahoo! Group does not allow attachments. Instead, copy and paste the text you want to send into the body of the message, or include a link to a separate website.
- Do not share member email addresses with outside sources without permission from individual members.
- Sign your name, not a pseudonym.
- Political messages are inappropriate. National guidelines prohibit endorsements of political candidates, political parties or discussion of controversial issues such as abortion or gun control.
- Mass marketing and business solicitation are inappropriate. National guidelines prohibit solicitation in order to protect our members from unwanted sales pitches. The following, however, are allowed:
- Personal items for sale (i.e. yard sale items)
- Simple notification of sales or specials at local stores
- Response to a direct question posted on the loop (i.e. responding to “Does anyone know a good house painter, babysitter, Mary Kay rep”. etc.)
- Do not forward virus warnings or chain letters without checking one of the following websites or contacting the Online Rep directly. Many of these emails are actually hoaxes or urban legends:
